It's taken a month to work that out? Basically, no pay rise at all...and it took them a month?

EK Pay review

Yeah what a joke.. It is a pay cut effectively! And the increased allowances didn't even get close to the price hikes of housing, schooling etc..

But still we'll have guys doing SE taxi, idle reverse, and the many other areas a pro can help save money. And rightly so, hats off to those true believers amongst us.
Oh yes, those individuals "but I'm being professional, and saving engine wear and fuel"

Very short sighted decision IMHO, sharp practice to keep the minions in their place. Good that the schooling, housing allowances have increased, not by enough, but at least thats something.
As ever this just smells bad, and any perceived budgeted savings made by specific departments are going to be more than offset by demotivated and disengaged staff, staff whom will quickly weigh up the value of their efforts vs the value of their remuneration, particularly when faced with a non-safety related customer issue. The cost of everything and the value of nothing.

Sad day indeed...

This pay review is completely off base. Not even close to what we deserve, not to mention the ever increasing cost of living in Dubai.

And to think it took an extra 30 days to come up with this abysmal increment... "WOW" is all I can say. We must have some real "sharpies" working up there in the top floors.

Never seen this before, I think it's new:

an increment to all except

a) those undeserving turncoats who've submitted resignations

c) Those misfits and malcontents on a **** list or a final warning for something which hurts us all
That's why I love working with these consummate professionals, always new ideas to squeeze blood out of a stone and keep this machine lean and clean. It took a month but dammit the sheer brilliance of the brains involved at that level, it's something we cannot even begin to fathom, doesn't it make you proud?

And they achieved this whilst SIMULTANEOUSLY managing the new flight bag project! I could cry at the magnificence of it.

Next they promise to apply their prowess and breathless intellect to the annual leave process.

So next year, if you're lucky enough to be resigning around this time of year, leave your notice until after the review. It's obviously important.

Shocking stuff. Just goes to show that all the rumours are pure bt.
Why it took so long for them to come up with a joke of a 'pay rise' like that is beyond me. Feel sorry for those who just joined thinking they had reached the promised land. Going to be a long contract lads.

This is a complete joke and a slap in the face of every decent hard working emirates pilot. I am curious what the limp d1ck$ on this site say though.
Wiz, White Knight and Craggenmore what say you. Are you guys happy?
I sure hope not.

Kind regards,

AS.

Things will not change until the company is left with no option. If this doesn't increase the attrition rate then look for the same or less next year. And next and next... Supply and demand is the only equation that will affect our 'value'.

Employees are not 'valued' in any other way than as another piece of hardware to be used to the maximum for the least cost. Respect, appreciation etc are not considerations.

My future has greater clarity today than yesterday.

When I joined, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to calculate which of my "Two Buckets", that everyone kept talking about, would fill up first.

It's so very much easier to calculate these days.

I think it sucks, AC. Now go and shove the "Limp dick" remark up your arse.

Your the one that's been bitching for the best part of a decade, but is too much of a pussy to leave.
