Experts said though rodent presence on an aircraft is certainly dangerous, all aircraft have built-in alarm systems that set off if there is any break in the wires.
"A flashing light will alert the pilots, and the plane can be diverted to the nearest airport for landing. The crew are trained to know exactly what function each wire carries out and will respond appropriately to deal with the situation," an airline official said.

So no worries then.

I can't wait to see a pic of the warning light on the instrument panel, labelled "rat alarm".

Methinks a few fox terriers and their handlers would soon solve this concerning "problem".

Excellent!
Amazing technology..the system even detects when the rat is out of the aircraft.
I'm impressed.

Well You don't really need an AAB detector on board the A/C...
By just looking at the face of the C.C ( if they become white, pale, quiet, fainting..) ..you known for sure that the big boss is approaching...

This can't be right. The rats in Ryanair aren't in the cockpit!

Oh stop it ! You lot have beaten me to the "Rats in the cockpit" jokes . I recall doing B757 conversion with a fellow giggler who just could not pull himself together when I suggested "lowering the RAT". We had to pause & take a tea break.
