New route rumour

No idea how accurate this is, but over a pint earlier today it was mentioned in my direction from an Oztranought I know that EK are looking at DXB-PER-AKL again. A bit out of left field, but there you go, perhaps a QF tag on or something like that.

Discuss...

There was also a "Cat out of the bag" moment when Jet Blue applied to code-share on the EK Chicago-Dubai route.

TC has suggested that EK are only halfway through our route expansion.
ANYWHERE is possible.

Would be interesting to see two 'pivot' hubs. One serving trans-atlantic, and the other trans-pacific.

In business you cannot stay idle even for a moment...

Well Xulu, partnership with other airlines used to be a big No-No not too long ago....
If Dubai's airspace/parking space/slots is what dictates the expansion then in order to expand operation/profits even more so as to drive the Dubai debt down then...all is possible I say..not likely but possible.
