Qatar Airways accomodations allowance

Anyone know how much a Licensed Aircraft Engineer could expect in the way of accomodation allowance to live in Doha? Married, no kids...

Yeah, its a pilot forum generally, so LAME Q's may take a while.

In Amiri flight, the LAME housing allowance is 14k (Riyal) which is very nice and more than captains at QR.

In terms of QR Lame allowance, I would expect it to be much less; But it will depend on what your Qualifications are?..... if your the man signing off all the work by the cheap labour then your probably be treated quite well.

but if your on the floor as a normal LAME then you may have a chance to be put in company accomodations?
The basic wage is about $5000EUR or a bit more for LAME's?

If you know the terms and conditions of a LAME at QR then post it as I am sure many wouold like to know!

Try Amiri flight, but I heard that QR will take them back over possibly soon, so I expect the wages and outport accomodation to reduce to QR standard..... which i am sure will pee alot of engineers off!

Accomodation in Doha is expensive and manipulated, plenty of threads about this here so i dont need to go over it.

so you can compare:
QR pilots recieve housing at:
Cpt 12000 riyal:
FO: 10000 riyal
SO's: 6000 riyal

So assuming you dont get company accomodation, then I assume you wont get more than 12k qr.

Thanks for that. The job is with "Qatar Executve", which I believe is part of Qatar Airways, and not the same as Amiri Flight. I submitted the online application yesterday, as it's the only way I know of to truly learn the T's & C's. If I hear back from them (and I think I shall), I will post some info.

Cheers!

Very persistent rumour going around that we are going
to see an increase in the immediate future.

Anybody have anything from a good source ?

This may have been answered, but is there ever movement between Qatar Executive and Qatar Airways? I recall a chap who interviewed for a position with Qatar Executive maybe a year ago but was offered an A320 FO slot at Airways instead. Is it now more likely that you would stay at Executive? What aircraft do they tend to hire on these days? Global and CL605?

Cheers

It should be between QR 8,000 & QR 10,000 depending on your grade.

... and with a little bit of planning, it's possible to live very well with that.
You will find plenty of opportunities in the new developments up North - but not really far away in fact.
And you will probably be pleasantly surprised by the standards.
Good luck
