Do you get an email from the system with that status change?

Just to put a few minds at rest:

We in the hold pool also experienced this change recently. For us it was from "FC Selected" to "Under Review."

The status then changed back again shortly afterwards. So nothing to worry about I would suggest.

a318319320 have you already done the pre selection, i.e selection day and sim check? I've heard nothing, and did mine last year, starting to think they've lost my application in the system somewhere. Does anyone know an email address or contact number for HR to confirm either way??

Anyone go to the recruitment roadshow in MAN over the last 2 days?
Did they say when assessments for FO will restart?

Sim

To all of you who have attended the interview, can you please tell me which aircraft is used in the sim assessment and what it involved. Thank you.

Latest from EK recruitment team from roadshow at Manchester

DEC coming to an end, FO recruitment to commence imminently. Early new year by the looks of it.

DEFO onto A380. Pre-selection to commence shortly also.

Minimum 3000hrs Arbus Fly By Wire time.

Numbers about 400 pilots a year, maybe more depending on deliveries.

Still have huge orders so plenty of jobs will be available. Just need that magic 2500 hours heavy jet (specifically over 30T) or 4000 total of which 2000 must be heavy jet over 30T.

Before we have the debate of what about the crj/145 etc etc. straight from the horses mouth "we have all the applicants we need with jet time over 30T"

Unfortunately right now your just not competitive enough, however I wouldn't give up hope if your still waiting!!

Regards,

Flyer

Flyer, I'll just insert a few additions to put what recruitment correctly told you into perspective.

DEC coming to an end for now!!

Huge orders, but a lot of those are replacement airframes in the future.

Hope that helps and good luck to all.

Regards
IH

I don't recall the 2000 commercial jet (of the 4000 TT) time have the requirement to be all over 30t. Is this something new? In the past it has been just some recent time in a jet over 30t. The career website doesn't even list the 30t requirement.

The 30T was stated in the presentation.....and in the conversation I had with the recruitment team afterwards after I was asked what type I was currently flying.

I don't think it's a limit, just what EK can afford to work with now as they have enough applicants that fit the bill to keep them going.

It was generally positive so I'm not sure why you guys haven't been called up yet. Hopefully you will hear soon.

Flyer.

Red face shortlisted...

Hey guys,
i have been shortlisted since july'11. Awaiting further notice since then for the interviews. After reading all 30-40 posts here, seems like i m the oldest shortlist waiting here (LOL). Please keep this thread updated with latest info. for guys like us, who belong to the third world and emirates would probably never bother turning back here for roadshows.

With those hours are you applying for direct entry captain or first officer position?

Rumour is they will be recruiting for First Officers onto the A380, so if it is a FO position your applying for it may indeed be for that.

Good luck!

I applyed for FO. I dontīknow the company, their OM, middle east airspace, any destinations and airports in the east!

In good conscience i dont want to be a captain in those circumstances.

They will give me 2 choices between 777 and 380, but something tells me it will be for the 380.
(to many FBW hours).
