Can you choose the currency in EK

Am I right by saying you can choose the currency you'd liked to be paid?

Nope.

You get paid in UAE Dirhams. 3.67DHS- 1 US dollar, and that is a fixed ratio.

We get exchange rate protection, which is an amount calculated if there is a change in exchange rate in your home currency (based on your passport).

With the AUD at historic high values, it nets me about $800/mth, so it's not going to let you retire early!!
