Mr Sand.... why so angry?

Ahhh, the old 'friend of a fiend of a friend who knows him quite well told me' chestnut eh?

Well that settles it then, you must be right, despite the fact that the first hand account from a person who was actually in the flight deck (and who was actually PF at the time I might add) I received!

For the record, neither of the crew involved ended up in the office for anything. Not tea and cake and certainly NO award!

Care to dig yourself an even bigger hole or have you finished your silly little tantrum?

BTW I'm sure Fatbus is very flattered that you have offered him a BJ, but I'm sure you're not his type! Keep looking buddy, I'm sure you'll find that Mr Right who fulfils ALL your desires one day

Suit yourself sunshine But, if you think it's acceptable to fly an airliner through that part of the world without a wx radar then go for it Won't be me coming in for a chit chat with the suits

Oxymoron of the Week

"That's his call, no-one on here has the right to second guess his decision."

"However, obviously on retrospect it was the wrong option of many available!"

Excuse me, but aren't those two statements contradictory? The latter statement sure sounds like "second guess" to me.

Nobody is asking for anything to happen to him regarding any decision he made, but isn't one of the purposes of this forum for all of us to learn from such incidents?

Well, I would say the evidence speaks for itself - cracked windows, displaced pax, and poo stained underwear!

Oxymoron or not, I said it was his decision at the time and I wouldn't second guess HIS decision, however I would assume that even he now wishes he'd have done what I and most others would have done and turned back towards (and I use this term loosely) civilisation or do you honestly think he'd go with the same course of action again........what would you do??

EK is offering the frequent flyers pax on that flight 15000 air miles as compensation and an oficial explanation that the event was due to a LIGHTNING STRIKE....
Does EK really think that the pax are a bunch of dummies ?
Some friends of mine were on board and they tell a completely different story. It was more like very SEVERE TURBULENCE.

Nightlife in N'Djamena is good unless you are a white man and don't like getting robbed and/or killed: I wouldn't go there unarmed.
