Any News?

What's the latest on the saga of the court judgments? Last I heard, a judge had signed an "execution order" and was going to seize and auction off assets of Prestige Jet. Good luck finding any to auction off.

Heard the same

WM, I hear the same rumor. I would surprised if Prestige Jet has money left in the UAE. My amigo say there is no pay for employes for 120 days or more. they send request for pilots in Jordan. So stupid to put the wrong website in request.

Captcal, not being from TX, I am unsure what you mean by that. Are you saying that this is wishful thinking, that the posters are full of bull, or what? Thank you for clarification.

Pilots not paid

I know of two pilots that were recruited into Prestige Jets in the Hawker.
The Captain flew hard for two months then paid his own way home with no pay.
The SIC worked for three months for free, then went home.

Prestige is now hiring for the new Amman Jordan base.

Serves them both right... the information is readily available about the Deeb crooks, and anyone going there deserves whatever happens to them...

Anyone see the B-737 ad they ran on climbto350 before they pulled it down? VIP B-737 captain for $8000/month.... ridiculous even if they were really paying instead of promising to pay....

Whoever goes to PJ whether in Amman or in Abu Dhabi deserves no sympathy when they don't get paid for their work...

Agreed

"the information is readily available about the Deeb crooks, and anyone going there deserves whatever happens to them..."
I agree with BeCareful. While we have debated the situation of somebody who is already in Prestige Jet with company visa, family on premises and money owed - which has to be decided by that individual on a case-by-case basis - there should be no question that anybody choosing to join Prestige Jet after the ample publicity given to their practices should deserve no sympathy whatsoever and is only making it worse for all concerned.

When Prestige Jet has no takers, maybe they will start paying their current employees in order to retain them. But as long as there are willing newcomers, the company is rewarded by the constant turnover of unpaid employees. If PPRuNe is to have value to our pilot community, pilots must take heed of threads like this and respond appropriately.

Foreclosure Notice on Prestige Jet Door

Amigos, there appears foreclosure notice on the door on Prestige Jet office. It tells that the Court of Abu Dhabi takes furniture, equipment and things from Prestige Jet to make auction for pay to pilots which have judgment from the Court. Finally we see that Faris Deeb and Prestige management continue on liars with this issue and pilots speaking on PPRuNe saying truths that they have judgments on Prestige Jet.

Long thread about Prestige Jet in PPRuNe, many times Faris Deeb say pilots lying and Prestige Jet having millions. Foreclosure notice on the door on Prestige Jet and auction for pay Court judgment of pilots show which is liars.

Any pilot going on Prestige Jet is fool when reading so many different pilot and other employee from all over the world tell story how Prestige Jet cheat them. Sometime somebody not happy but so many people writing on Prestige Jet here in PPRuNe. Pilots beware and read Prestige Jet story - not possible find somebody leave Prestige Jet having pay and happy.

Yes, but...

The notice wasn't up on the door very long before it was torn down and ripped to shreds, another tangible demonstration of Prestige Jet's attitude.

Ironic and sad that Sheikh Hamed Ben Ahmed Al Hamed, a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family, permits his organization to behave in such manner which suggests total lack of respect for the citizens, workers, laws and courts of Abu Dhabi.

Let us hear from the pilots who have judgments whether they are realizing any money from this development?

Shrinking Number of Posts

A while back the number of posts in this thread exceeded 400. It is now back to 366!! Does any one know the reason for this shrink in number, or which posts were omitted?
I think all of the posts, except those posted by the DDB's and their slaves, were relevant and conveyed valid information that people needed to know. I wonder what happened.

It's a Mystery

Dear Ex Terminator,

It's a mystery to me. I had a few ideas, like all of the postings which mentioned the name of Sheikh Hamed Ben Ahmed Al Hamed were redacted, the inane rants of Faris Deeb and Prestige Jet management were redacted, foul language and name-calling were redacted, etc., those still exist. Perhaps there is a contributor whose entire postings have been removed, but I have not figured out what has caused the reduction in posts.

What I wonder is why PPRuNe have these "Sticky Threads" which have not been commented since 12th Jan 2010, 19th May 2010 and 1st May 2011 taking up valuable real estate at the top of the Middle East - PPRuNe Forums list?

Sounds Like Something May Be Happening

Dear KF,

I have heard from two pilots that their lawyer has informed them that they are expecting some moneys for them, but these reportedly are subsets of what is owed and I would not count on it until these mates inform us that money has entered their account.

However, as freddieclemenza states above, there is plenty of evidence to accept the validity of the reports that a number of pilots and other personel have won judgments against Prestige Jet in the courts - which Prestige, of course, denies and refuses to pay, causing this foreclosure and asset sale which is really occurring. I have seen two of the judgments - both original and certified translation - and can attest that they are true and real.

I also second your comment that Sheikh Hamed Ben Ahmed Al Hamed should be ashamed of the lack of respect shown by his organization to his own Royal family and the various constituencies and institutions of Abu Dhabi. I wonder why the latter do not put their foot down and tell him to stop this embarrassment to the family and the state?

I guess

I can understand the removal of substandard entries and posts. What I cannot understand is the removal of a post referring to Hamed, for instance. This forum is not a standard Arabian tool in the hands of powerful and rich Arabs who are above Arabian law. I guess only the Moderators would have the right answers to our questions.
Cheers,

PPRuNe Didn't Do Anything Wrong

Dear ET,

To ensure that there is no misunderstanding (and that we do not offend our kind hosts and moderators who provide and maintain this valuable forum), I said that I looked through the thread to test the above theories, and came up empty. PPRuNe has not deleted references to Sheikh Hamed - which was one of my guesses, only, and proved to be unfounded.

It could also have been a cleansing of duplicate postings which existed in more than one of the merged threads.

I just don't want my wild guess to be mistakenly attributed to PPRuNe. That might start a rumour, you know.

My Wrong wording!

Dear WM,
Having read what I had previously posted, I realised that I made it look as if the Moderators and people in charge of this forum were responsible when I made reference to a possible deletion of posts relating to Hamed and others in power in that part of the world. This was not what I meant. I just chose the wrong words and phrases for which I do apologize. I just meant that Moderators would have an explanation as to the shrinking number of posts, period. What ever it is, I am sure that they are aware of it and that they are doing the right thing for the benefit of the readers and the forum.

Not to worry, ET, the moderators know who the good mates are. You have made great contributions to our profession with your contributions on PPRuNe.

You might be interested in the discussion which is taking place within the thread

regarding GCAA and the politics surrounding its enforcement actions - or lack thereof.

I'll Believe It When...

I have heard the same, WM. However, every time Prestige Jet agrees to do something, the Court collection officer backs off and then Prestige Jet reneges. I will wait to hear that our mates actually have money arriving into their accounts before I can rely upon anything either Prestige Jet or the Court or the lawyers tell us.

I wonder at what point the Court becomes disgusted with Prestige Jet jerking the Court around and repeatedly demonstrating such contempt for the respect and authority of the Court, the laws and the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi?

And when does the Royal Family become disgusted with Sheikh Hamed Ben Ahmed Al Hamed for bringing such disgrace and disrespect upon the Royal Family, the citizens, the laws and the institutions of Abu Dhabi?

Good Mates

Dear KF,
Indeed, good mates are known. We are all on the same page with clear intentions. We are basically all against corruption which is persistent and hard to uproot in the Middle East. Nevertheless, we have to fight it, especially when it comes to our future and the future of our families and children which is being threatened by evil outfits like Prestige Jet, and corrupt authorities like GCAA. We owe it to our children, as well as to the honest people who end up in that part of the world seeking decent employment opportunities. We are all responsible to give them an advice based on personal experiences that we had been through.
Keep up the good work KF and all the good mates on this forum.

Prestige Foreclosure Notice Thread Eliminated

Colleagues,

PPRuNe has seen fit to eliminate the Foreclosure Notice on Prestige Jet Door thread and merged it into this one. Apparently, Prestige Jet is worthy of only a single thread, unlike other operators.

In my opinion, the issue of the Foreclosure Notice and the attempts to collect on the judgments by the Court of Abu Dhabi is a valid and legitimate topic for a thread, and to my recollections there were not duplicate posts between the two threads.

This decision and action is of great disappointment.

KF
