I agree, things wont get better because they don't have to...Its the fact here, the will just keep lowering the Mins....And I think what will happen is that they will not be proactive about preventing airplanes being parked and flights being canceled but instead will live in their little delusions until they realize "oops, we dont have anyone legal/available/ or willing to do x amount of flights"...Then in true QR fashion fingers will be pointed, ppl reassigned, new GENIUS ideas brought up but the problems will continue...

Ali B will continue in his place, trash talking every other airline that is successful and continue with his usual self diluted little Napoleon attitude...I'm not a pessimist but its the reality...Let the guys and girls that have been here for 4+ years chime in, see what they have to say.

Happy landings

-A deficit of around 40..50 captains on the 320 fleet.
-Exodus on the 777 fleet keep going on (wich is not the worse fleet in QR!!)
-QR airplane parked at the Airbus Hamburg factory.
-Flight cancelled:no Cockpit crew.
-(lets not even comment on the airport fiasco..)
-Salary increase:no need, pilots can be easily replaced if not happy anyway:eeeuh....sure???

Congratulation AAB...good job:sure you gone be the manager of the year!!

"Exodus on the 777 fleet keep going on"
Unfortunately for the time being this is not completely true. May be in the future.

You seem miserable FFR!

Just leave if you can get it better somewhere else.

I have been here for a year now. I left a European carrier by choice and am on the A320 fleet.

It really is not as bad as you and loc22550 and the rest make out.

In fact the majority of it is extremely biased and the personal opinions of maybe 3 of you guys. (The numbers you quote as leaving seem quite OTT as well as my seniority number on the fleet and in the company has changed by maybe 5 guys maximum in the last 3-4 weeks...)

You really need to get a life, you have had your say..... on more than one occasion. Leave the forum for guys that have genuine questions and genuine answers to give or at least stay on topic without constant repetition. I really wish a moderator would step in and do something about you guys once and for all because I am personally growing quite tired of it all.

-Maybe if you spent as much time in the manuals as you spent online you would find career progression works a bit more in your favour here!!!

Sand everyone is entittled to an opinion, no offense intended but you have been here one year (I assume 6 mo. Aprox on the line) and u r critizising opinions of other based on ur experience thus far...

If u have a personal opinion to voice do it, but u dont have to dedicate an entire post to discredit the opinions of others which in what u r critizising is fairly ironic.

If ur happy here tell ppl WHY!

PS: The number of resignations of pilots is no secret, 32 Pilots left the 320 last month as confirmed by flt ops...There is a geniune issue here that the company choses to ignore and will not be proactive about fixing

Sandpit..Don't tell me you are Captain on the 320 fleet...????
Instead of criticising people, come with some relevant&True infos about qatar airways..thats what people are basicaly waiting for.Not non sense post like yours.
Yes why you don't tell us why you are happy on the 32O fleet....??
Are you F/O...ok...i do understand..
The CPT situation on 320(roster) has nothing to compare with the F/O situation!

Unity

I have been guilty of the same, wasting the forum to argue with fellow pilots. FFR, LOC....you seem to be aware of numbers, sometimes they sound a bit exagerated, maybe they are not, but is there any way that you can back up the info? You are obviously veterans in the area, with that may come the "responsibilty" to guide the younger (age or experience in the area) to a clearer reality.
Sand and KJ.... things wont change on their own, dont know your background, experience has shown that the ones sitting on a jet fresh out of flight school seem to not grasp the concept of struggling to get there. I am not saying that is your case, but for older folks that literally had to put their life at risk to get where they are now, some things are really a matter of respect.
After all the sh.t (if you think it is) that I wrote, dont you think is better to unite ideas on how to be heard. Nobody wants the airline to fail, and everybody wants to be treated with respect.
Meanwhile, put that hat and jacket on and think of the ones at home that depend on you wearing it, agree or disagree, but until you leave or work wisely to make it change, there are too many things riding on that. I am sure that if you wear them with your chin up, everybody will be aware that it will take more than that for your dignity to be taken away.
Happy landings!!!!!!

Sandpit66

Your story doesn't add up.

In August of last year you were asking people about the interview process at QR. Then in March of this year you posted on PPRuNe saying "Started working for a company. Now been let go."
