Glidestar, I applied in November and received a PSP invite in January.

Anybody interview recently? Is the gouge information posted still accurate?

Did anybody buy 737 or 777 sim time to prep for the sim portion?

What are they looking for in the psych test? Is it to see if you have some psychological issues (depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, etc) or is it to see if you have certain personality traits like United?

If any recent interviewees could PM me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

I just noticed that EK introduced some minimum flight experience requirements on their careers page for first officers. Earlier it was just Atpl. Now it's 2000 plus hrs on aircraft weighing more than 20T.

Has this changed recently?

Does this mean they have gotten enough applications?

I have 1500 odd on the Baby Bus. So I don't know if I will be considered since I technically don't have the 2000 hours they are looking for.

Any inputs? Thanks.

It looks like they update it every day. Yesterday they had 2000h+ for turboprop 20t+ aircraft pilots.
Today it's a general requirement. We will see tomorrow

Cheers and good luck!

It changed about a week ago......

In order to be eligible to fly our B777 and A380 fleets we require qualified pilots to have:
at least 2000 hours flying an aircraft with a MTOW of 20 tonnes or more; or
at least 3000 hours flying an aircraft with a MTOW above 10 tonnes.

hi there.

i submitted my application on early jan, they said if no news after 6 weeks you can assume the application is failed.

it has been over 6 weeks and it said application under review . Should I assume my application is failed or they are actually reviewing?

thanks for a lot for everyone's input

RWY07,

It seems strange you haven't received any correspondence at all, my advice would be to either email the recruitment team, or to re-apply. That is of course assuming you have the min requirements. From friends and colleagues of mine that have applied, the response time has been less than 10 working days to being offered interview dates........

CHANGE IN REQS

Heard from a friend the change in requirements came as many of the new hires had problems in the sim and in training...

FO Dav,

The fellas hired with that lower limit have only joined now. So either you are having a premonition or have been ill informed.

Hello,

I applied to EK end of last month before the change of minimum requirements.
I don't meet the requirements anymore but yet I have 1700h on the A320.
Can I expect to be called for an interview ?

Thanks !

Anyone that still wants to come to EK after all that has been written here on this forum, is touched in the head.

You can't argue with a believer.
(Come on in, the water is fine, and the jets are shiny.
It's all good.)

You have been warned.

Sim Test

What is in the sim test? My brother is flying the 737 at the moment, if he wants to apply for the FO on a 777, then what will they ask him to do?

I know both of them are Boeing, but they do have different procedures.

I've been invited for the screening process in Dubai and I'd like to know if someone has already been there.
I applied as DEC and I'd like to receive info on the SIM profile mostly.
PM welcome
Regards

Yepp, the article isn't up to date. Add another 4,5 -5% inflation to it...
