Sounds realistic, but the guys who've been here any less than 2 years, will be waiting until > 2020 ... 7 years is a very optimistic number.

Again they said 7-10 years at the roadshow for the Boeing.

But for the A380 around 5 due to fleet expansion. Just what they said.

Many of us have been here 7 years plus, now on the 380, with no apparent upgrade in sight......

With regards to upgrade times... They seem to be promising fast track for some of the qualified applicants.... But what is a promise worth?

Fast track command is a thing of the past. New upgrades on the 777 are now circa 4yrs in the company. So there are plenty of eligible FOs.

The don.

….and upgrades have slowed drastically, at least for the time being.

Could change overnight...

... because once the upgrade is under the belt you are actually supposed to keep working down there for the unforseeable future. Knowing the odd person working- and having worked there, I believe it would be better to spend that time up here!

Don't think there is much chance of the Boeing interviews starting any time soon. The current people in the hold pool are likely to go up to if not over the one year limit. Word is first Boeing course in May '14.

If there are interviews and you get through, i'm told a 9-10 month wait in the pool has become the norm. So just prepare yourself to that.

Chin up.

This was brought up a long time ago but what is the procedure for having your FAA logbooks verified? The FAA will not stamp them anymore, and going back to a long list of former employers, some defunct, is not an option.

Hi Flyboy41,

Congrats on the interview. Is it PSP in AMS or the full whack in Dubai?

Hopefully if they are interviewing again, they might start draining the pool soon.

Good luck.
