Has anyone heard when FO interviewing/hiring is likely to start up again? How is the DEC interviewing going? Have they been able to get the 150-200 DEC hires yet? Like others, I am floating in the PSP complete/waiting for DXB invite pool for an FO position.

Are the DECs going to all fleets or just the 330/340?

.

I sent my application may 2011, got shortlisted, went through PSP stages 1 and 2 (compass tests, interview and sim), then my status changed to "PSP successful" but I still had to wait until I got my ATPL unfrozen. Now that it is unfrozen I let EK PSP know it so that I could go on with the final two days of PSP but nothing heard from there since and I'm shortlisted again....

I just hope they don't call me and schedule new interview/compass/sim test dates.....

Submitted application in December and was invited to KATL for my sim in Feb and passed. I was told that I'd hear from EK in a few weeks to set up the rest of the interview process in DXB. Since then, I received an email about FO hiring on hold with no time line referenced. Hope I didn't miss this boat! Approximately 7000 hours turbine.

Rumour (or fact) was that most newhires were getting the A330 (regardless of Boeing/Airbus background). Is that still the case? Has anyone been assigned 777 lately or is the rumour true that 777 newhire slots will not be given until after the summer?

This is a rumour network, right?

Boeing training is going full tilt, but those on course were notified some time ago. It's not that there is no recruiting on th Boeing ( far from it!), just that the courses are already filled until August.

A310 for the sim in dxb

Hi guys,

does anybody have anything on pitch /power settings for the A310. There's not much on the net, even smartcockpit has "no data".
Assessment next week in dbx. I just heard there is no more 777 for the sim ex..
Anything for the circuit , V1 cut and the OEI approach would be greatly appreciated.

cheers.

Hi eagleeye,

thanks for the good wishes. Its for an FO position. I put in the application last December and they confirmed me on this selection in February.
I was talking to a friend of mine today who did the PSP1 in Amsterdam last week and he said they told him that most FO's on the PSP will go to Dubai to do the sim. They are giving priority to the DEC's for the sim slots it seems.

stay young.

A320 type rated

As far as I am aware that EK doesn't hire pilots except DECs and FOs airbus rated until further notice. I am about to apply for FO position with 2200 hrs in a320. Do I have to hold submitting CV until end of Aug. or Is this delay the best opportunity for me to get hired by EK? Anything would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand why they have stopped hiring B777 FO's. Don't we have quite a few more airframes arriving on property this year? Surely they will need to continue with hiring to accomidate... Right?

There goes my halfway decent roster...

Everything is becoming so confusing. Some people say that Emirates won't hire anyone on the 777 untill late summer, other people say that Ek is still hiring on the 777, other people say that only Airbus type rated pilots will be called untill further notice, and other people say that only DEC will be hired for the next months. What's really going on ?
It seems to be clear that EK is now giving priority to DEC hiring and that all the Training Courses are going very slow, this results in a longer wait. However there are still pilots called for the interview with only the minimum requirements, and other pilots, with much more experience, stuck in limbo for several months. There is no information from any Ek office to shed some light on the facts.
This is so frustrating because one can't make a decision with their job or their plan.
Unfortunately there is still too much heresay and hardly any facts.

Does anyone know anything verifiable about Emirates now?

I'm afraid it is as you have just stated! you won't find any conclusive answers at this moment, so all we can do is play the waiting game and arrange your other **** around it as good as possible.

Interview

For anyone doing an interview with these guys, keep yours eyes and ears open. These guys are shady, they like to play lots of games.

I did mine a while back, a lot of things aren't pretty...

Beware...
