When I received my interview packet, it was for either the A330 or 777. I have no hours on either, but plenty on the A320.

Hope that helps..
when do you have your interview? if i can ask you

Yes it does...thank you.

Went from shortlisted to under review. I assume this is a positive rate.

I have no job. This place may be just right for me to recaptue my self-worth. No?

Yeah... right

After a year you'll be on yer knees givin' blow jobs fer free to Cossack tourists in the middle of Hwy311, just to git yer self esteem back...

Have a nice day

Hey Sky,

Be careful mentioning DEC's in the same breath as gaining employment with EK. Obviously you have no sensitivity to the situation here with DEC's. There are many great FO's in EK who have been blind sided by the last command policy change which has screwed many an FO's future. So, my advice would be to tread carefully.

it seems like he make more than EK FO with the same yr of service. My buddy is 4 yr FO on A320 in U.S.

Here is brake down of his pay.

From 0-78 at $87.53 USD
From 78 and above at $131.29 USD
So looking at his Credit for the month he was paid $10,500.00 USD for flying A320 with 14 days OFF. Do EK FO on widebody make that much

Flynhigh,

I presume that quoted amount is before tax?? What does he actually TAKE HOME?

Does his airline provide housing?

Also, what is his basic pay when he is on leave, or is off sick for a few months with a broken leg?

Bare those 3 minor points in mind and you will find that an EK F/O is probably better paid.....

Hey Sheik, it's time for you to go home old chap. Your posts are starting to resemble those of a deranged chimp on crack, and more than a little repeditive. If your personality is not suited to this region then do yourself a favour and pack up (or think of something else to say in your posts). I know that pprune is a retirement home for sad and opinionated old gits with nothing good to say about anything, but you are stretching it.

If you think at EK provided accomodation as home, you are mistaken......

Desert will never be home and UAE will always make you feel it's not..... That's why they provide housing with sothat you don't settle down in a country you are just tolerated to work in, coz they are too lazy to work and rich enough not to have to.

Hidden taxes are everywhere ( overpriced healthclubs, restaurants outfits and accurate medical treatments, schoolings etc...) living in the sandpit is a tax by itself.

Travelling a 4 hours timeband in the US is less exhausting than an ULR 22 hours layover in JFK from DXB.

Paying tax to live in a country where a decent justice operates , well why not.....

For those who will answer in a blinking of an eye without even thinking about it: Quote " If you don't like it there, then leave " first it's the wrong way to look at things, the better being trying to improve things rather than quitting, second that's exactly what UAE want, people without self-esteem who can fullfil the local slavery requirements.

The more they can get from any human being, the more they will threaten and harass. They manipulate the worst of us the pilots to bring us down.

Not my thing, and it's a no future attitude. All the civilizations that built trenches with others in the past disapeared in ashes of time. China great walls, Maginot line, Siefried line, Angkor walls, Tegucigalpa walls, Berlin wall..... and now UAE selfishness wall of shame.

Underneath the golden polish, there is nothing but evil and braindeads....

CB (you were much funnier on Friends than you are on this forum by the way!).

I must say that I am mightily impressed at your ability to work for 2 airlines at exactly the same time.... No wander you are p1ssed off trying to juggle EY and EK rosters!

Stick to what you know buddy not what you think you know!

I guess this question has been asked many times......Are they considering pilots with no type on the fleet at the moment????will they consider you with 4000 hours or they need way more than that?
