The math test is available and is with everyone , i got it from an Arab student. Also the math test was really easy , my math is weak but its not so weak . Even a five year old can do a Math test. The reason why i spoke about my family problem here is because no one is going to find out who i am and second every one is whining so much here .
Anyways i agree a bad thing to do.
Regarding the simulator i did a much difficult simulator at another airline and i passed it yesterday so i am back in the business . They praised me in the simulator and then didn't select me didn't make any sense. May be i am wrong about the racist part but then again i could feel it by the examiners body language and the looks he was giving me or may be it was my first interaction was an Emirati local and they are all like that. Anyways hard luck i didn't make it.
For many people here being in EK is the worst thing that happened to them but its my dream airline since i started flying in the UAE so its natural to feel bad.
And regarding the wife running away , yes i loved her and i miss her but i think i deserve a lot better than her and i still don't give up on love as good pilots never give up
Regarding some questions that i left here , i didn't leave them because i don't know how to answer them and really this thread is regarding interview so doesn't make any sense why would some one make fun of you than helping you out if you want to discuss some thing. Why are people so judgemental these days ?
At SHOVEL .... I don't find you funny and no i didn't tell Emirates my PPRUNE name but i am using PPRUNE since a decade and you would be totally shocked if you found out who i am so i am not STUPID.

Another thing i want to ask all of you . In a visual circuit below 500 feet you get 3 whites and 1 red and you slightly correct , is that allowed at EK or
there is a go around on that . An airarabia pilot said to me they wanna see a go around . If thats the case than i have done that mistake .
Its a silly question again and i am sure many of you have found me a laughing material so i better get another account on prune hahahaha

There is nothing wrong with three whites and a red, if you correct appropriately .
Good luck with your career. It can't be easy being out of a job . It's never nice to be turned down . Try and take the positives, learn, and move on .

Hi all - Just got an email about EK taking in guys on accelerated command conditions. Is there not enough FO's to upgrade ? Surely out of about 2000 FO's there must be some ?

They are simply casting their net as wide as possible and is not related to actual operational requirements. Upgrades will be offered as and when it suits the company irrespective of any offers made by recruiting.

Buyer beware! After 18 months you may become eligible for a command but that certainly doesn't mean you are going to get one. It will only take a poor performance in one area of one PPC and you could easily find you are no longer eligible. Or the company might decide it has enough Captains to be going on with, thank you very much. All it is, really, is an accelerated way to the right hand seat.

Hi folks,
out of curiosity, someone knows the pass/fail rate of EK selection nowdays comparing to some years ago?
I have been reading some articles stating that the main problem regarding pilot shortage of Ek, and others company is China, and is enormous amount of money offered.
Any light how long this situation will last?
cheers

And don't get sick too often, that will delay your upgrade

Hello everyone,
I will appreciate short and honest answers to my questions. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
1.Average salary received in your bank account for the last 6 months? Preferable A380 F.O.
2.Any significant difference between B777 and A380 benefits and lifestyle?
3.How easy is to fail line check? Are the checkers really so strict? Sim checks?
4.How often the new joiners fail the initial training?
5.With how much you rate the general atmosphere in the cockpit during regular flights from 1 to 10? Is it friendly?
6. Do you expect that Emirates will improve soon the pilot salary package (1 year max)? With how much 10% 20%?
7. In the last 1 year how many pilots were fired in Emirates?
8. Is the punishment culture prevailing in the company(considering pilots only)?
9. Do the pilots report each other?
10. Is the fatigue main problem in the airline?

You should ask a different question, how much does an A380 F.O. have left of his salary after a month of living in Dubai.
It’s not about how much you get, it’s about how much you can keep……………..
2.Any significant difference between B777 and A380 benefits and lifestyle?
A380 will do high hours and high days off, B777 average hours, minimum days off.
3.How easy is to fail line check? Are the checkers really so strict? Sim checks?
If you can’t pass a line check or simulator you are not supposed to operate heavy machinery.
4.How often the new joiners fail the initial training?
In other words, is recruitment doing a good job? If you pass the selection, they qualify you as trainable. It’s for you to not f**k it up.
5.With how much you rate the general atmosphere in the cockpit during regular flights from 1 to 10? Is it friendly?
Flying with fatigued boys or gals, during the night 1. Flying a day sector after being well rested 10.
6. Do you expect that Emirates will improve soon the pilot salary package (1 year max)? With how much 10% 20%?
Absolutely, my hopes 20% pay-rise and 12 weeks bonus!!!!! Reality absolutely nothing…..!!!!
7. In the last 1 year how many pilots were fired in Emirates?
For the real numbers you’ll have to look under the carpet, that’s where the sweep most of the things………
8. Is the punishment culture prevailing in the company(considering pilots only)?
Yep and won’t change.
9. Do the pilots report each other?
Yep, first hand……I m embarrassed calling those guys colleagues!!!! (There are only very few, most guys are wiser)
10. Is the fatigue main problem in the airline?
I don’t know, I m too tired to tell you the truth. This airline has a lot of main problems.
