I’m confused Don. I see the bad and knowing I can’t fix the rot I try to leave for a better life. You know Emirates is bad for you and yet you stay and disparage pilots trying to leave.
I will get hired by a Major. When? I don’t know but it’s a simple numbers game. The US Majors need around 20,000 pilots in the next 10 yrs and only 12,000 or so pilots have applied. Hopefully I’ll get hired sooner than later. We all know what Emirates does to us.

I bet you I’ll get hired by a Major before you do Fillion.

Even knowing Fliion probably doesn't have an app in with one of your majors, I will still buy in on this bet.

Yes you will be assigned a villa, but you can request an apartment if you want.

They are usually Millennium Towers (on SZR) or somewhere in TECOM I believe.

Is there an airline anywhere that grounds divorced pilots? EK would have half the fleet grounded.

Numbers getting divorced would probably skyrocket if we could get some downtime out of it!

'Sorry darling, I hate to do this but this is the only way to get that leave that I bid for and never got'

oh all of you guys are really funny but i dont have a funny situation for me going on.
My airline has shut down i am without a job for 6 months and my emirates assessment is coming up.
My math is really weak anyways i am separated with my spouse she is demanding divorce and walked
out on me the day i lost my job , a true narcissist .

Anyways i dont think many of you understand my situation but my question is should i just say i am happily married to avoid the details or
tell them i am separated ? I know in the panel interview they ask about family. I have zero kids.

They have very polite and relax attitude at panel interview. ı recommend you to be honest and just tell them you had a divorce. It is all in life. It may happen to any of us any day. ı dont see anything wrong in that. When they ask you the reason, you can say that it just did not work out and you decided it was best for two of you to seperate your paths.

And about the maths, do not worry at all. Questions are very simple such as 499994 - 388883 = ? There are more samples available on internet if you search. You only use pencil and paper for math. You will have enough time.

I am planning to apply the freighter FO position. I'm not local, I don't plan to buy a house in Dubai and I don't wanna live in the apartments Emirates offers. The question is, will I get accommodation allowance? Is there a special rule for the freighter pilots as they have a commuting contract?

A quick read of the website.., I would say no. You will get an apartment.

The freighter contract is NOT a commuting contract so be aware, the company has made it very clear that commuting is not in their plans to attract new personnel.

guys please answer the following questions , as if u were at emirates panel interview

When was time when you had to be assertive in the cockpit ?
Tell us about a time when u made a mistake at work and learnt from it ?
Tell us about a time where there has been a grey area and no SOP to guide u through?

Also what were your interview questions

Regards to all

If you can't come up with some replies yourself I'd suggest you're probably not qualified...
