was 42,000 just three years ago. And much less just another couple of years back from my joining.

Guys (and gals) really don't listen to what is being said on all these threads!
Had absolute classic chat with ex turbo prop FO (2 stripe) the other day - joined with all the best intentions but now the plan has changed - stay as long as he can put up with it / until bond paid off (which ever comes first) then look for pastures new asap!
Now EK is pissing off not only the oldies but also the newbies!

HI All,
Anyone anything good/positive to say about joining Emirates ?
Im thinking of trying but in my mid forties do you think they would ? is there an upper age limit ?
I have a Private/Bizjet background, no airline experience at all and the exact opposite of the scale where I don't get to fly enough.

Productivity pay
Sorry if this was already covered in previous posts.. can anyone elaborate on "productivity pay scenarios"? I am looking at EK's website which states MONTHLY BASIC SALARY + AVERAGE FLYING PAY (PLUS PRODUCTIVITY PAY SCENARIOS) for FOs and CNs (sorry can't paste a link since i am new to forum duh), and wonder what amount of hours is FO's 30,125 AED salary is based on? Also, what number of guaranteed hours included in basic salary?

To be honest with you the seniority list is a bit of a myth. It was withdrawn from publication a year or two ago ostensibly because it contained "Commercially Sensitive Information" By that you can read EK speak for the attrition rate being way in excess of what we say it is and we don't want you telling anyone. Unless you have a significant amount of spare time and are a bit of a whizz with HTML and spreadsheets you will never know precisely where you are on the seniority list. For staff travel on-load priority date of joining is all that counts.

The threshold is 88hr per month reducing by 3 hours per day for any month less than 31.
Unofficially it seems Most Bus pilots 95hrs, Boeing 90-92.
Bus more days off due ULRs and no TAs
The rate per hour effective 1/1/16 is 635 Capt, 450 Fo.
Flying pay is paid for every hour flown and is 75/55 cap/fo
The Co has become crafty in recent pay reviews by increasing the flying pay percentages and by default claiming package increases - however none of the above gets added to the calculation of percentage of salary money to Prov fund. as it is not salary
The fact that the Co does not publish this info to interested parties - gives you an idea of the type of transparency, integrity and professionalism of the HR machine.
Be very careful before making the jump into the pit

I haven't been able to find it but can someone provide a list of the various apartment bock names that one could expect to be housed in if joining the company as a single FO? It would be nice to see where they are all located on Google Maps.

Currently, as a new joiner you can take the allowance to rent or pay a mortgage. If already an employee in company accommodation, you have to purchase a property to get the allowance.
All of the above is subject to change with no notice. As is the case with just about everything around here.

I was recently there in dubai for the assessment. I didnt pass the panel interview. Everything else was ok. Only 1 of the 8 passed and from the previous group aswell. A lot of people fail at the 568 psychology questionairy aswell because the system can not generate a profile on the answers they submitted.
It is not true what some people say here that they accept everything and everyone. Their standards remain high!
