A couple of people who interviewed same time as me have just received offers, so things are happening for some, as for me personally, 6 weeks now, and none of my referees have been contacted............looks like I'm not destined for life in the "sand pit" after all!

Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting for a reply.

Skysod,
If you haven't received a notice from EK saying that you are out, you are still on the game.
For what I've read here there is not a pattern on EK calling those that got to the 3rd day on the selection program, but they will always tell you if they don't want you.

I applied last week to Emirates and a few days after I applied they said I was shortlisted. Anybody know if that is bad or good? Also, I have been trying to find pictures on the internet of the villas. I would welcome any information on Emirates and any links out there.
Thanks

The shortlist...

Clouddancer....

The shortlist email seems to be fired off arbitrarily. A good friend of mine got that email as well. He then got the interview at the same time I did. I never received that email.

Then, for no reason, they moved his interview date to six weeks later yet kept mine the same. Funniest thing of all is, he has more qualifications than I do.

I have since interviewed, had refs checked, and now sit waiting to see what happens.

My buddy has since moved on to another gig, and frankly, should do a lot better than those of us wanting to go to EK.

Anyhoo, I guess what I'm saying is that the shortlist email probably means good things. In this case, it meant nada.....

s'all I know!

Typical roster

If there is such a thing, could someone post or send an example of a normal Emirates roster?

Thanks

Actually....

There have now been four guys that interviewed within 2 weeks of when I did (Early May). All four of them called EK because they had second job offers.

All four of them were offered jobs pretty much on the spot. Three of the four had their refs checked right after their interviews, not sure on the fourth...

One ended up having some paperwork issues and frankly, was lucky he called!

So if you have a second offer from someone and are considering taking it, call EK and let them know that you may become unavailable soon. No harm in doing that....

I still haven't heard a thing except the sound of my references emailing forms in the wind.... ;0)

Do a little research on this thread and you'll get your answer. Either that or you'll turn into a punchin' bag.
