I got a mail than my application was in the shortlist pool, no news from then and now I got a new mail asking me to call them to clarify some points on my application, Do you know what it means?

I just was curious about what to expect , i got the same mail before, i called and they asked me about my level of English, reasons to join EK and the time in advance to address an interview, one hour later they send me to the shortlist and now one month later again the same mail before the phone call .

Recruiting at EK is a bit different to elsewhere. They will hire everyone in your group if they can. There is no competition. They just want to see you can play nicely with the other kids, and have the ability to fly and learn.

It's really a matter of you have the job unless you talk yourself out of it, or have a bad day in the sim.

Yes doing long haul flying on the other side of the clock ' over a long period' can lead to blood clotting and possibility of brain hemorage.

i just would like to know how was your application with ek going on now?
i also applied for ek last september and after a day i got a call from them and an invitation to join their pool for november. after submitting all the documents for the assessment the emailed me that they have changes in their simulator schedule so they could not confirm my attendance. up to now no message from them? seems strange and i heard that they are still conducting the program but no calls from them

The interview for DEC is a spoof. Apparently they are using it to generate interest and then offering FO positions. Avoid!
