And these guys who drank beers every evening will continue the legacy of those who bitches every day on how the lifestyle there sucks as they have to do ULR, uncivilised treatment they receive..and yea, most probably end up on PPRuNe as well..so in the end,the forum wins..

I don't think it was connected to drinking beers or reading Pprune in fact.

Quite strangely EK preferred younger 25 year old F/Os this march without Command experience.

And interviewers where quite often asking questions as : how you would go to RHS again for several years. So much better chances for F/Os at moment.

Visual 12 would be the VFR circuit and the LOE is the V1 Cut...

that is correct.

Visual pattern is flown A/P OFF FD OFF A/THR OFF, LOE is flown normally, A/P is only available after acft clean up and ECAM actions complete.
Rawdata ILS is A/P OFF, F/D off, ATHR ON.

The interviewers are grouped into couples -1 from HR,1 from Flight Ops, and they "track" candidates during all selection, e.g. in the sim ride, in group excercise and final interview.

Pilot selection guys we met - Michel and Martin - were OK, Martin very easy to work with. HR girls -- so so, not too nice, especially Chelsea which was rather on her mind during all the process.

March Assessment

Gents,

Anyone Boeing rated from mid-March assessment got a call with a course date yet?

Also would it be reasonable to assume that, if EK doesn't send you a failure message one month after your medical check it means everything is ok and good to go?

Thanks for the help.

If a candidate meets A380 fo minimum requirements, regardless of his current type, is he more than likely to be regarded as A380 fo?

Does anybody have information on the very recent Sim profile for the AMS PSP assessment. (May 2014)

Information given to us says; three exercises based on RW27 in EHAM

Would any recent candidates kindly share the profile information please?

Thanks for your time,

DB

Enthusiast,

I thought to qualify for the A380 as an FO with the minimum required hours you would need to be current on the Airbus (i.e., A319/20/21/30/40). That was my impression from a recent ad but I could be wrong. Current experience on other types would put you on the path for A330/340 or 777.

Fellow pilots,

What is the usual time lapse between application shown as being reviewed and call for the interview? Any RJ pilots being called recently for the interview? Kindly share your input.

@Transport Jock

I just flew with a recruitment capitan, If you are not currently flying Boeing or Airbus they will not call you, if you are currently flying crj even if you have airbus or boeing experience you wont qualify unfortunatelly.

They are in the process of changing this stupid rule as there are even pilots with 747 experience, currently flying embraers or crj who wont qualify either.

Good luck

Hi there,

I've been invited to the PSP 1 this summer in UK. I was thinking about purchasing the Interview Preparation package provided by Latestpilotjobs website.

However, the package is based on the Dubai pilot selection that it seems different to me; is it worth buying that anyway?

I've never followed how the selection was in the past but now that I've this opportunity...I want to be well prepared for it!

Not so sure about that, I know Embraer guys with PSPs coming up. Also Embraer rated guys have been hired recently. However, if you're referring to the 145 or smaller, then you're probably correct.

May someone help me to understand this, please?

In the email for PSP 1 they say:

aptitude testing, advanced COMPASS testing, an abstract reasoning test, Sim 737 NG.

Referring to the Interview Preparation package of Latestpilotjobs, what is the Aptitude testing and Abstract reasoning?

I guess the first one is the ATPL questions, while the second is?
