Late Rosters - EY
Surely if you have a new rostering system, you make sure the damn thing works. After all, you are playing with the lives of all your employees who actually make money for you. FD and Cabin crew. (Oh, thats right, you don't care about them )
Come on EY, this is not good enough

Makes it 2 months in a row now that the rosters have been published late. Doesn't the OM-A say rosters shall be known atleast 7 days in advance or am I imagining things???

Dear Colleagues,
Further to my email yesterday evening, I can now provide an update on roster publication. The teams in Canada and Abu Dhabi have rectified most of the problems that we faced and the Etihad roster planners will continue working until the rosters are published. On that basis, rosters will be distributed before the end of today.
We apologise for the delay and thank you for your patience in the meantime.

It doesn`t matter what roster systm you have or who you have running it. It matters HOW MANY crew to cover the flights ... of which EY has little! Look at the number of resignations.

Togalk
My question was a polite interest request, yours was a typical Nigel reply.
Shortfuel - thankyou
Running 2 systems either alongside each other, complementing each other or replacing each other is a demanding task. Having done that and read the book it places hugh demands on the backstage staff. I know that Easyjet and Qatar have done similar things and the other thing I can say is that in the medium / long term things will approve. Kronus has a very good reputation. However as polarus says if crew numbers are low it's difficult to get a quart out of a pint pot.
Lastly, good luck to EY with the next roster, one things crews crews don't like is a late december roster

Worth the wait
Better late than Shi++y
I have to say that for the first time in a long time I have a roster that resembles something livable. Days off grouped together and nights and day flying are separated.
All in all an improvement

crs stands for Crew Reject System
yes i did not get any of the 4 requests either furthermore i even got 3 nights in a row and to top it up being dual rated 330/320 did not get any 330 flights either. well done etihad..wasted type rating...........
Took EK nearly a year to get the Adopt system to "work" how they wanted it to.
It's been up and running for over six years now. Satisfaction rate has been reducing (In my view) every month it spits out an attempt to make me cry
And as for being on time? I would give them a 7/10 for punctuality.
Sorry to say this...but it's going to get worse for you guys if the EK experience is anything to go by.

Thanks Halas
Halas yes you are right, it will only get worse until these unqualified morons work out how the system works or we get new Crew Control staff.
Like most people I didn't get any of my request this month nor last month. I mean honestly can they F**ked it up any more?
EY Rostering Dept is proudly sponsored by TOTAL, FCUK, UPS......
Now of course they are blaming the crew for not bidding properly, even the simple Days Off bids. How is it possible for almost every crew in the company, Cabin and Tech to screw up there bids? CA is trying to tell us that those who attended the CRS open session got all these request. My arse pal, I think you should check your figures, I spoke to a handful of guys who went to the presentation and didn't get their request either.
Plus with everyone only getting minimum days off, how can they expect us to come to work on our days off? Notice how the Session are not held on FRI or SAT, hmmmm is it because they don't want to come in on their days off? However, it's ok for us to do it...
Safe to say those in the Rostering Dept are in way above their heads with this system. Mind you they couldn't handle AIMS either.

What I find interesting is that if you log into CRS the Nov roster is not there.
This begs the question, was it actually used to write the Nov roster or because it is such a f*^k up the reason why the Nov roster was 2 days late was because they had to write a quick AIMS roster explaining why pretty much no one got their requests.
Either way we will never know.
