Qatar 2nd officer conditions

Hi all I am after some info if possible on the 2nd officer position with Qatar Airlines. Such as monthly salary, what fleets they are on, how long it takes to make F/O, standard of living in Qatar?

The usual questions. Thanks
Ace

nothing much mentioned except that you download the application form, then choose S/O from the drop down menu box and try to fill the rest of the application as much as you can!

download the application and choose S/O Flight Deck Crew | Qatar Airways

Sorry I have no clue about that! The reason I called QA HR (and some other GCC airlines) is because I been worried sick about accepting the Ab-Initio programme or to continue with my current job.

That's as far as I got with the HR thing.

Sorry Skydive, you said to apply under the S/O job application. If so, you mean to say QR take in S/O with no flight or jet experience. While their cadet program is for Qatarians only?

What most airline companies do is take a recent fresh graduate and do some training and assessment once accepted they would be S/O or whatever the company policy would be after the initial training and assessment.

So if i read you correctly SkyDive, applicants applying for the S/O position need not have flight experience at all? In the Application form, there are lots of details of flight experience to be filled in. Even with no flight experience, i believe there will be lots of Applicants with tons of flight experience applying through the S/O position which would put us at a disadvantage.

I think you have misunderstood!

Brother listen, I have applied for an Ab-Initio Programme offered by Gulf Aviation Academy and once I complete my training I would have the following:

JAA CPL+IR, MCC+JOC, and Frozen ATPL. Now I can apply for the S/O or maybe even F/O!

Now if you want to apply for the above jobs you must have done some flying whether when you were training or professionally experienced!!

Now the cadet programme is to take someone without any experience of flying and make them fly then offer them a job!

I hope that clears the air!
