EK Pilot's Association ???
Whilst perusing the interim EK LOSA Audit Report, I came across the following paragraph :-
2.2 LOSA Quality Assurance Process (TLC)
To ensure successful implementation, Emirates was required to participate in
a multi-part LOSA quality assurance process:
1.An agreement was reached between Emirates airline management and the Emirates pilots’ association. This agreement ensured that all data was deidentified, kept confidential, and sent directly to TLC for final analysis. The agreement also confirmed that both parties had an obligation to use the final
results to improve safety.
I would like someone to point me in the direction of the "Emirates Pilots' Association" as I, for one, would like to pay my membership dues and join this organization which negotiates "agreements" with Emirates Airline Management.
Looking forward to the application/joining info.

The Emirates Pilots Club (or Association or whatever it is called) had a roadshow in Abu Dhabi about a year ago.
At that time, they were probably desperately looking for some new joiners (some new cash).
The speaker held a speech about all the advantages of that club: various discounts allover Dubai's clubs and restaurants, and so on, but nothing really of interest to anybody living in Abu Dhabi. I had the opinion that the whole thing was just a club of snobs looking for some donations, and left after about an hour without waiting for the final applause.
However, the "decision" of weather or not to join them turned out to be pretty easy anyway, because they suddenly changed their minds and no longer wanted any members coming from Etihad.
Visiting the presentation was a waste of time.
But we did get a free USB-stick as a gift. Thankyou, guys!

EPA
Is EPA based overseas in a famous lawyers team cabinet ???
150 AED/month X 2500 (EK pilots) = 820 000 USD/ year
A kind of "off shore association" has been so created ? No one told me
Please keep us informed. cause it could be a BIG SUCCESS !

I must say I pissed myself laughing at the notion of an "Emirates Pilots Association", laughable in the extreme habibis!
Now the EPC, aka Emirates Pilots Club is wonderful. Nothing to do whatsoever, with any notion of an Association

He's laughing at you because you have missed the difference between the EPC which is a fine club that you are missing out on and the EPI which is an investment company which is currently drawing a lot of moaning about peoples investment money. Neither of them is an "EK pilots association". So he's saying you are clueless which it appears you are.

EPC is not a "club" in that sense Night; mainly a way of using group purchasing power to access beach clubs and other facilities that would otherwise be very expensive in Dubai (and keeping some shared sports gear downroute). Agree, not that useful for Abu Dhabi but why don't you Etihad guys get together and do the same thing with hotels down there?

In addition to the rather bizarre reference regarding the fictitious "Emirates Pilot Association" the report is riddled with poor grammar, spelling mistakes and other typos. Hardly a credible document. I have written to University of Texas Human Factors project and told them as much. I will post the reply here if any is forthcoming.
