international money transfer, FX companies anyone?
Hi Folks,
Anybody using those FX companies to transfer money in a country where the currency is not pegged to the US dollar? Since the exchange rate sucks right now for the Euro/Brit pound, I read that those people can give you a much better rate of exchange than your typical bank. Anybody willing to share the experience? Is it worthy? Any recommandation?
Thanks

OK
Wall St exchange does it good
you get a card keeps record of all transactions
its 45 dhs for a telex transfer 2 days max
10dhs for a bank draught which you then have to post yourself
best exchange rate found i've seen in last 7 years

Dadster,
I used UAE xchange at the outlet mall on Al Ain rd, nice and close to DSO.
TT charge was aed 45 to a UK bank. The fx rate was better than banks by a bit.
There was a intermediate bank deduction of about $26 USD which I wasn't expecting though.
