Trast Aero BAC One Elevens - UAE Ops

There are a few photos of Trast Aero/Aquiline BAC 1-11 500 registrations EX-086 & EX-103 in Dubai & Ras-al-Khamiah in the last few months.

Does anyone have any idea who they are operating for? I've never flown on a One Eleven and this is probably my only chance. I enjoy flying on as many classic types as possible and the One Eleven is a must if I can get on one.

Any info would be most appreciated.

Super 1-11

I think you should probably get some good life insurance before you go riding on a 1960's era aeroplane operated by a Kyrgis carrier.

If you do go then don't sit at the back, it's loud!

Have fun.

I think MAN Dispatcher you are really going to struggle to get yourself on a 1-11 these days. I was lucky enough to fly on several BAW and BCAL examples between MAN and LHR/LGW back in the day but now your opportunities will be small. I canot see the Trast Aero examples being viable, pretty sure they dont fly scheduled if they now fly at all!! The one in RAK looks rather dusty!
I dont even think getting yourself down to Nigeria would help now either assuming any of those are still airworthy?? Good luck and let us all know if you have any success.

Might be easier getting a job with Qinetiq and flying on one of theirs!
