When you move you and your family around the world for a new job - the presumption is that you would have done throrough and diligent research.

So either your research was lousy or the company is lying to you, in which case they are in breach of the contract you both signed. Full legal recourse available (and it has been successfully pursued by former and current employees).

So show some balls and sue them - or - accept that you suck at the discovery process.

But either way for the love of God stop crying and get on with it.

Speedbrake..........

I wonder who will take responsibility for this one?
By the sounds of things, it will probably end up being the sheet of aluminium.

Fliion, love your tolerance levels. LR3 is entitled to his opinion, based on HIS experiences here in the Gulf. People here are so bloody scared of being accused of being racist or biased, well of course we all are at some level.

Different cultures have different norms of behaviour, including a greater or less tolerance for lying, cheating, denial, blame shifting, blame apportionment, honesty and integrity. It depends on how you were programmed really. Is recognising this racism or realism?

Racism is a fundamental fact of life, treating others differently JUST because of their race, colour (note correct spelling ) or creed is plainly wrong. But is recognising and being frustrated by a groups behaviours wrong?

OK, Tin Hat on, incoming.......

For goodness sake, well All know the way it is here in the sand, enough said.

Please no more rants about anything off the topic of the injured Cabin Crew member.

Any more and the thread gets locked.

Looks like they are riveting the panels onto the escaltor structure now, so hopefully no more incidents

A bit like aircraft?

>>When your stuff is built by the lowest bidder, who employs people with qualifications such as "I built my last mud hut from scratch but it didn't survive the yearly monsoon so I decided to take my skills to the UAE and work in high-rise construction", what more can you ask for?! <<
