Mavrick,

it's not right.. Pita Bread is way off..

Yes we have alot of Cabin Crew resign sometimes 60 per month and some months only 10 or 15.. as for flight deck boys and girls sometime 1 to 6 per month on average, still much higher than anyother place i have ever seen, but not what most make it out to be.
this does not include the people who do not complete the training as it's been known to have some people leave during that time.

either way.. if your not already at QA then stay away

In QR:
-No salary increase= low level of resignation
- Salary increase = high level of resignation.

...So i guess for the time being we are still in the first scenario..

Many have escaped the Sandy Gulag, but if you are still there now I hope you like it because you are pretty well stuck there for the next year or two at least

Maybe forever......

My fear exactly....

I have come to realise that we most probably will be stuck here for, I would say, at least 5 years to come..

EU.....closed deal
VS.....closed deal
Asia and far east....closing slowly but surely!

Thats it biys and girls....stuck in the sandpit!

Save your pennies now too, the Goat has always paid the absolute minimum to stop pilots leaving. If you have nowhere to go I would fully expect a pay cut next year. Why? Because he can and he doesn't give a damn about ay of you

Cause it's business folks and you being down in the pit, have only one choice take it or leave it. Maybe not a pay cut but certainly NO PAY RISE. I'd be very surprised to see one. QR will probably abuse the currency equalisation scheme to present it as kinda pay rise. I only really hope they won't screw the guys with the upgrades as it's expensive issue and we all know the zook.
Don't take it personally take it on the rocks!!!

joke

Small man already told his people that he has no intention to rise salary of flight deck crew in near future . All airplanes ar ein the air and no flights are cancelled so people are still willing to fly for same salary . When he see 3 A330 on GRND and and 320 guys reporting sick for crazy rosters then maybe he will reconsider decision . inshallah

Heard that one of the crew that was booted a few years ago is not allowed back in the country. Loan + Guarantors.

I know the wee sh$te used to have HIS "blacklist" but does he really have the power to stop people coming in? What are the REAL laws concerning the problem mentioned above?

I know people who have gone back in after a couple of years having had worse concerns, ex QR and non QR.

Cheers

HR

homesick rae, one thing is what's written; a different thing is what is practiced. It's in Qatar and elsewhere.
If one is here in the region to complement personal incomes and is in a position to quit at will, he / she(?) may wish to spend some money and get some back by challenging guys like AAB through a reputed local law firm. You would probably have to say "bye" to the company and go elsewhere unless you were a National.
Since most of us are in this region to earn a living, things go on unchecked.

CC

if cabin crew report you that you took rest in FC during Osaka-Doha flight and first clas in empty you will get a warning letter and deduction of 17 K rials for using FC seat .As you operate KIX-DOH there is 1 seat book for cockpit rest in buisness class so if you sleep in FC which is empty at the time and CS reports you thats it 17k +W.letter.
Nice airline it is .

Heard a story that a senior FO was given a warning letter for being seen without his hat in the cabin. Warning letter + upgrade delayed 6 months = resignation
