Angry How many Boeing aviators average start ground school monthly?

So, if there are many aviators who got the good news last year and waiting for a date to join why Qatar continues looking for More people just to tell them to wait forever ?
How many B777 typed and not typed are average starting course every month?
What about in the Airbus fleet?
About the sim test, I think it is not appropriate to test Boeing aviators in an Airbus simulator. The right is Boeing aviators tested in Boeing simulators and Airbus skippers as well in Airbus sim.

I waited 10 months as NTR boeing FO from interview to starting date 777 - check was on boeing sim. Fair interview process i would say - quite a wait but looks like they are increasing their training capacities now.

CAP B767,

After reading your post I can safely say you are
not the right kind of person for this job.

Common logic is not common here.
This place requires extreme flexibility and tolerance.
If you are bent out of shape because you might not be put
in the same sim as your current type then you will not last here.

Did you stop and think that maybe seeing how you deal with the
unfamiliar just might be part of the deal ?
If it is, then the answer is : not very well.

Seriously rethink your motive for coming here.

Hello. Can someone please share what the package for first officers is in QR?

I would like to apply but it would help to know the package before I even consider it. If anyone has something to share regarding it, please post here or PM me. Appreciate it.

Also, any idea how long on average it takes from the time u drop in your app to hearing something regarding an interview?

Thanks a lot for this.

Can others verify these are the most accurate numbers?

Also what about education allowance etc?

Those numbers seem pretty accurate( for new hires)- there is a small incremental increase in base salary every year.
School allowance is 125,000 riyal per year and can be divided up between 1-3 kids.

Hey thanks for the info.

But I'm not sure what you mean by "can be divided up". Do they give u flat 125k and you can choose to pay however much per child? Also, in ek they pay for child's education only after age 4. What is the age policy at qr? Thanks.

I believe it's also age 4 here.
They will reimburse up to 125,000 per year. You can spend it all on one kid or pay for 3 different kids....for example you could spend 100,000 on 1 child and 25000 on the other.
This amount is adequate for 3 young kids at most schools but for some of the more expensive ones it is not.....for example the American School is approximately 75000 per year per student.

That sounds pretty decent. Can anyone shed some light if this allowance is enough.

And please confirm is it still age 4 for the schooling allowance as ek or is it any different? Thank you.

Has QR slowed down the hiring process? My application update now says hold versus processing. Or is this typical?

Hi 560,

You'll find tons of info on this thread about the process, it requires some trawling, and it's pretty accurate. Read Ace the Pilot Interview and be ready for a fairly scripted interview asking for lots of examples of 'what did you do when......'

Good luck.

Policy is between 4th and 21st birthday, outside of these no allowance. And it's up to 125 000 QR regardless of the amount of kids, thus you can have one child costing you 125 000 QR yearly they'll pay.

QR Medical

Good afternoon,
Just wanted to know when and where medical is done. Do they do the initial/joining medical there in doha after interview and sim, or somewhere else after that, and where.
In other words, it is the astronaut like type as they do in China or it is EASA based??
Thnaks for the answers,

It is a cut&paste of the UK procedure. Even the application form is borrowed!
