What's gonna happen next is even better conditions to keep everyone happy, maybe we will see a pension plan for crews soon enough.

I know first hand they wouldn't accept SO's with less than minimum hours. Sorry.

Aviator,

As far as I am concerned, they do not anymore.
There had been a lot of Normal SO's (out of flightschool) including myself, who were short listed a long time ago.
The good news was recently given to me, and there are lots others who were short listed and are still waiting for an interview.

I would apply anyways, good luck.

QR A320 routes

Can someone please post or PM me with a listing of QR narrow body routes and layover cities. I was just offered the FO position and would like to see where I'll be flying to.

Thanks!

Question

Hi everybody!

Does everyone [fulfilling all the conditions imposed for a specific position] waited for more than 2 months for an interview invitation?

I applied, I crosschecked the minimum requirements just to be sure I meet them, I uploaded all kind of docs I have, I also got two referees from two different recruiters [Aeropersonnel & Paramount] but still nothing.

Anyone else I this kind of situation? Just to know I'm not the only one, you know..

It’s frustrating, because considering my background as fighter pilot and newly rated on A320 FO, I think this is one of the few opportunities I have right now [if not the only one ?!], and it seems like I’m loosing it.

Good luck to all of you guys!

Given the number of applicants that QR has in their recruitment system, I suggest that PPruners begin hiring for the airline directly from this website. Who needs fake interviewees anyway, you've got all the real info you need right here.

It's not unusual for people to wait more than two months for an invitation. Just give them a polite phone call to make sure they received your application.

Did you send it via the online application or via the PDF? They changed it a few months ago, and I had to send it twice....

@linerider: I think I will call them tomorrow morning. Sunday it's a usual working day in Qatar, isn't it? I just don't want to be misunderstood or something, you know ...

@maddog37: I filled the online application, but I also filled up a pdf form for Paramount. Anyway, the direct online application took over (for sure) the agencies referees, because the link provided in the automatic email received from Qatar Airways asking to update my profile didon't worked.

Yes, Sunday is a normal working day in Qatar. I know what you mean about being misunderstood, but as long as you are polite, there is no need to worry. I know lots of people who have done this (as did I, several years ago).

Phone the switchboard number for Qatar Airways Tower in Doha, then ask to be put through to HR. The number can be found on the Qatar Airways website under Contact Us, then select the details for Qatar and Main Office.
