Hi Pilotara,
I received an Email a week ago asking me to resend the application form together with my licenses and to select dates for an interview in Feb. How long does it takes to get a firm confirmation of the interview ?
Thanks

Hi!

I just tried to apply online, but it said Qatar was not hiring.

Is this correct? If they ARE hiring, can anyone tell me who to send an email to, or how to apply?

Thanks!

next road show seems to be in Mumbia in the next few day, and followed by a long one in Singapore.. guess it's time to suck up some of the ex-Jet Airways and kingfisher guys followed by the Singapore Cargo guys.

Good Day Sir

I know you do lots of posting on this site and you seem to know alot about QR since you've been there for a long time.. so just a quick question. QR emailed me on Jan 6th asking for my 8 page app along with licen.. and wanted to know about what dates i would like to do an interview and sim aval on in feb i picked 16th or 22 I have not heard anything since then.. Is this normal ... I am 767 typed with low time 5000hrs.. will it be for B777?

Thank you for your time

I hear heavy Boeing experience translates into 777 slot in most cases. Non-Boeing experience (including RJs) means you are most likely to fly the Airbus. Good luck!

Widebody:

you can refer to me as Krunch if you like.. but SIR makes me feel older than I am.. thanx for being so poilite though.

and to answer your question.. YES this is completely normal, dont hold your breath, but they will call you and if have not heard from them by the 1st,, make contact right away... until then just sit back and relax, you'll get te call.

with 767 time, I can assure you, you will be going for the 777 position, unless the bottom falls out of it all ( which it wont)..
they currently plan for 4 courses per month.. 2 courses with Boeing type ratings / boeing experience for the B777.. and 2 courses with Airbus experience or without for the airbus positions A320 or A330.
thats not to say, if you do not have either type experience you will only go to the airbus.. NO,, but it's more likely than not.. you get what your given when they need it... Boeing / Airbus.

Hi guys. Anyone got an idea of what sort of stuff they ask you at the interview? I'm 757 rated so do they ask general CRM stuff as they don't fly my type?

Thanks
