Thanks a lot level change.
But what is the process to reapply after six months if one didn't make it on the first attempt.

If you can’t get over the very low bar set here, then please, stay in Ghana.

I intend to apply in QR. I am A320 rated. Any tips on where I should start? What to study? What to prepare for? Thanks a lot.

joinmg basic is 22575 QAR
104 QAR per flying hour
Meal allowance during layover varies depends on the place
so for example based on 80 hrs
22575+(104x80)+(1200 average meal allowance) = 32095 QAR or 8793$

FO talent pool

Hello,

I had an application on July 12, it has been 15 days since all assesments were complete at Doha, now I am in the FO talent pool for 10 days.
Progress was very quick and results have been sent in a very short time. How long do you think guys I would be in FO talent pool? I am on 737NG, have 6000 hours.

Thank you.

You'll probably live in company accommodation, meaning no expenses with rental. And if you have kids, company pays for their education up to an annual limit (which I don't know by heart since I don't have kids).

And you'll definetly fly more than 80hs/month.

You will not struggle with saving some money, the big issue at the moment is company accommodation, a lot of folks are unhappy yet unable to move from places such as Barwa City, own accommodation will not be happening any time soon and the lists to move to some of the better places are getting longer.

School fees up to QR125,000 I believe.

lucky ones get The Pearl (rare chance). Barwa City is not out of the cards though (you can easily find stuff on google/maps about these). You can always apply to leave company accom and get the allowance, but there is a waiting list. You could also apply to move to different company accom but a waiting list might also be applicable depending on which one.

On the 777 as an FO you'll probably make just under 10k usd a month on average with paid accomodation and school for kids. With some planning it's possible to have a good lifestyle and save a bit of money at the same time even with a family.

The biggest problem at the moment in QR is the housing. You will be stuck in Barwa city or Ain Khalid for quite some time and you're not allowed to get the housing allowance anymore. Guys with families have been waiting for almost 2 years for housing allowance or a 2 bedroom in the pearl with almost no progress.

I “think”the hold pool is getting cleared out at least on Boeing FO side- many waiting for 787 were transferred to 777 and now seems to be requirements coming up for 787

What about the 320 fleets, are there alot of upgrades to the wider bodies still going on there and filtering in the cadets ergo needing more pilots to be supplied that way or are they comfortable with the amount of pilots due to less demand caused from the political situation?

Much thanks

At Barwa City what can you expect? A 3 bedroom apartment? Is there any other locations?

3 bed apartment, would estimate roughly 200sqm, fully furnished, utilities covered except internet (fyi was lucky to leave company accom). Don't know other sites personally but have heard opinions that fit all the numbers in the scale 1 to 10. Luck of the draw 👍🏽

Info Qatar

Please guys I need some updates:
- suppose you enter in QA and passed the 40y old, on the T7, still have a chance to be upgraded in the future, or is there any limit of age according their OM?
and if not limited, which are the internal minimum requirements(years of QA service and hours ) to be upgraded supposed you had a good SIM performance??

-Is there any bond for the T7 ?

Just looking the right move, or to stay on the B737 and look in the future for an upgrade considering the age of 41!

Thanks a lot
