Does anyone have any solid explanation on why all flights show
13 available for staff travel now.

Since this has been done without issuing any explanation, I am
curious to know what these pathetic idiots have done to us now.

Connected to the cancellation of pp travel where tickets were being sold commercially thanks to a few idiots!!!
Now all have been made to suffer due to this and you will only know the loads,6 hrs before the flight.

I have no idea but I hope that it's only temporary since this will make things much more difficult.

Staff travel management have asked to only show 4/9 j/y until 6 hours before flight is due, I'm also lead to believe all flights are now capped at 13 staff travel

Capped at 13, regardless of actual seat availability?

WHY ?

Well it might have changed already, we can now see 10/25 outside of 4 days, inside shows the load, perhaps too many complaints in the 2 days they had this 4/9 and I'm hoping the 13 staff cap had been upped

As I told before, pilots are starting to move to the other side of the Persian Gulf...

Within 72 hours of departure actual loads are displayed.

It’s been my experience that many are actually moving this way from the other carriers and not the other way round...

Some people were profiting from those benefits (privileges suspended ufn)

OW.

Why would we goto Iran?

Nevertheless the problem was quickly solved. Current system will not have as big impact as the first (not so good) version.

Does anybody have any insight on to whether QR will have eventual vacancys for NTR FOs or SOs? I am a Chicago based E175 pilot, and would love to join QR.

FWIW, I know of a pilot that was an E175 capt that joined QR as DEC 320 with no airbus time.
If you are FO, then you may want to consider getting your upgrade and some PIC first. Makes you much more marketable.

Thank you WrldWide - I have been awarded an upgrade, however it is on the E145. My plan is to keep building tPIC experience, and updating my app as necessary.

As per the careers' website, there's no more NTR vacancies (except for QR Executive). Either an Airbus or Boeing type rating are required to apply, both for DEC and FO.

If your current airline also flies Boeing or Airbus, you might consider trying a fleet transfer to get the TR.

And think the holding pool is still pretty sizeable, so would be surprised if they recruit NTR in the short-medium term future

Thanks for all the info - my company only operates E175/CR7/E145, so no chance of a Boeing or Airbus type in the short term. I will keep building time, and taking opportunities as they present themselves, and hopefully will have a chance to fly for QR in the future!

If you are tired of DECs, I would recommend you not look in the ME.
