Sorry I have no idea about your question.

Can someone share the life in Doha in all truthfulness.
From what I heard theres really nothing to do over there and people are all wanting to return home after getting experience. Some even broke their bond on the MPL program to go home.. Must be pretty bad over there despite Qr being the best airline in the world.

For sure it’s no Dubai or Bahrain but you need to focus on what’s important for you. I’m single and am by no means ‘slashing my wrists’ by being there/here - 90% of the trips are layovers (some with Days Off downroute) and then I bid for blocks of days Off and either go home or travel - i’ve probably spent a maximum of 10days in the country each month since i’ve been here. People with families or who are coming from countries at a distance (Australia, South America etc)... are tending to spend more days in the country... so it’s more essential to make it work.
I think most people these days are tending to make their decisions as a ‘package’ - not just the country but the job also (how it compares to Emirates etc).
Regarding MPLs, of the pilots I know it’s the opposite... for sure, they have the same complaints/concerns/challenges... but the reality of earning a lot more money tax free compared to say the UK (21-23years old in some cases earning $10k+ p/m) plus flying say an A350 after 2-3years in flight school, maybe command in the near future... have influenced them.
It’s all big picture. In addition as there are plenty of jobs at the moment... people can pick and choose and be more fussy...

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the situation in QR? I'm a hopeful cadet waiting to start my training but QR had recently put all of us on hold for unforseeable future.
Much thanks in advance!

Depends on what YOU like to do, what your pursuits, hobbies are etc. Also depends on if you’re single or married. At the end of the day it’s how you choose to spend your time and getting out there that matters.
I have found there is plenty to keep one busy.

So it seems to be a trade off between having much of a life and earning $. Must be hard if your family is not there and you don't see them each time after your flights. Adding to the living conditions there and nothing having much to do except staying at home..
Regarding the MPL, from what i gathered theres no guarantee you'll be on A350. It depends on demand and there are also people who are still on the A320.
And one more thing, how do y'all do the walk around of the aircraft for pre checks in 40-50 degrees celsius?! Thats pretty intense...

Much of a life ? Some love it here and have no intentions of leaving soon.
Living conditions ? Not much to do ? Really
Do us us a favour and don't bother applying here as I and many others don't want to be with or work with negative people.

Youre exactly the kind of person we don't want here. A negative immature person who would not be happy flying a 320.

Hello guys, quick question.
I am an A320 Captain with 1500 PIC and 5500 total flight hours.
I would like to apply for a DEC position, once I reach the minimums, at the moment I need another 500 hours total time.
Is there a reason to apply at the moment given the blockade situation?
Thank you.

Hi guys,
i applied for the Boeing rated FO position but received the following:
“We would like to inform you that the vacancy for which you applied, QR7700 - Type Rated First Officer Boeing Qatar Airways Doha, has been placed On Hold as we are awaiting for manpower requirements. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Please understand, you have not been rejected however, we will contact you if there are any future developments for this vacancy or if we offer new opportunities that match your skills and qualifications.”
Any clues about what’s going on?
Cheers
