Joining Qatar Airways (QR) - all you need to know about it (threads merged)

Hi all,
I haven't received anything yet.
In the holding pool since March 2012 as a FTSO. There was no requirement for FTSO in 2014. Hopefully there will be in 2015. Any info about the holding pool?
Cheers!

Hi All,

I interviewed in early 2012 for FTSO. Received an email yesterday asking for updated hours and license/medical and logbook copies.

The email also stated that if I do not supply the documents within 7 days they will consider my application as withdrawn.

So maybe there is some movement finally.

Best of luck.

Hello Folks!

Does anybody know if QR is planning on hire non type rated FO's again? like they did back in 2012, with only 1000 hours jet experience ?

Any answer will be much appreciated.

Regards and happy holidays!

Dear All,
I confirm , even for me , Yesterday I've got an email where the FD Talent was asking for licence and logbook updates.
I honestly have no idea if this is only a way to get rid of some pilots swimming in the pool.
I bet few of them will be unable to provide those info in 7 days due to several reasons.
Anyway, could also be a positive aspect in it.
Let's hope for the best.
I kindly ask to the Others still waiting in the pool if they can confirm they have received those request by FD talent as well.
Thanx in advance.

I interviewed in March 2012. I think its just a way of getting rid of people in the pool. Thats why we all have to update our applications.

Does it seems to you guys that they are basically trying to get some FOs from the pool by updating the hours, so in that way they can get rid of some plus the 7 day thing may lead to somemore.

Ive been in the talent pool since 2012, NTFO.

I recently asked if my application could be considered for a First Officer - Fast Track vacancy, as advertised on their website. They said I would have to put in a new application and go through the recruitment process again..

A good piece of advice to those who are in the pool FTSO and who are meeting requirements for FO. Put the application in again, FO recruitment goes faster, you'll be in quicker

Hello,

Presently I'm a TRI/TRE in Europe applying for QR as DEC. Anyone with information regarding the requirements to apply for a position as instructor after being released in line?
thank you.

If I remember correctly, it's six months after final line check, then you can apply to the training dept.

AAB gone? Is it true?

Heard from a friend who works in airport ops at the new airport that AAB is gone. Gone as in FIRED! Is it true? Just curious!

Hello everyone,

I finally read whole threads written from a year ago. Unfortunately I couldnt find or might miss what I want to be aware of. If you shed a light for me, it will be highly appreciated.

-Will b777/787 FO go to left seat of the same fleet? Or to be a skipper of a320? No exception?
-How many hrs do 777/787FOs usually build a month?
-If qr offers b787, can a new joiner deny it and request b777?
