QR Furniture Allowance-Can they ever keep their word?
Changes in HR, so no furniture allowance has been paid to the majority, rumours are it will not be paid.
Looks as once again QR's word means nothing!!

That's not all. These people are so crazy to cancel the overtime just like that.
Unbelievable but true. Anyone thinking to come here think of the huge inflation of 14% since the year beginning. This a little bit of the pay rise in a grain of sand in the desert. Can anyone explain whats the point to fly 900 hours a year now?

Pay rise over two years - 1st year Captain up 3,500 PCM. Transport up 900, furniture allowance gone for last 3 months therefore minus 900. Assuming with flight pay 40,000 PCM the increase was around 9%. Inflation last year 11%, this year so far 14% (figures from Gulf Times). Forget the housing allowance that is still under the going rate for decent accomodation. Without getting too complex with compound interest etc. Pay drop over last two years around 16% 
not including extra paid out for housing last year if your rent was over 6,500 (The old housing allowance)
When the pay rise was announced, 90% shouted from the roof tops in joy.

1-housing From 6500qr To 12000 Qr.still Below Avarage Rent For A Normal House.
2-transport From 600 Qr To 1500 Qr ,unexpected.soon The Company Will Provide Transport And This Will Be Gone.
3-the Basic Gone Up By About 3000 To 4000.but Overtime Pay Was Abolished.all A330 Pilots Do 900hr A Year,that Means 120hrx300=36000qr A Year,3000qr A Month Over Time Pay.so We End Up With 1000qr Pay Rise
4-my Saving Dropped By About 30% Exchange Rate Against Euro.
5-my Spending In Doha Increased By 14% Due Inflation.
6-meal Allownces Is Fixed,while We Are Paying More For Meals, Again Cous Exchange Rate.
7-furnture Allownces Stopped For The Past 3 Months.
Now,where Is The Pay Rice.

I hope somebody told you about the fake LoL insurance we have? And the dodgy medical insurance?
Or the new rules for fleet transfers? No? Really.... MMMMMmmmmm
What about the fact that we are planning to increase the MAX time to 1000Hrs/year, without any form of overtime off course....
Nobody told you that....shame shame shame...
But hey...we gave you a nice dinner at the Sheraton now no?
