No Jet time required for EK 777 DECs ?
Two adds on the Flight int Web page for DEC 777 jobs with EK. The earlier one states that preference will be given to pilots with Boeing experience, the later one states that all required hours can be on either Jet or Turbo-prop aircraft over 55T.
I know that flying turbo-prop aircraft can be more demanding/complicated than a jet but to accept guys with no jet time at all??? Take them from a 55T turbo-prop and let them loose with a 300T? 777 as a Captain is a little too scary for my liking.
How low can they go?
Nothing against DECs, just the experience levels that EK are now asking for seems to be a bit low when you consider our own internal F/O upgrade and Upg/transition requirements.

Broakenenglish: Every one is entitled to ther opinions I suppose but I think your comments about DECs can be applied to any crew who are not up to the required standards, whether it is more likely to be a DEC or anybody else is probably better discussed in another thread.
