Devil Dubai Phase 17 flow rates

Anyone in Dubai app know if there will be NOTAMs issued about holding fuel or slot times for when the new flow rates start?

With 15 landers/15 arrivials max per hour at Dubai can see ALOT of holding coming up, especially during the evening inboud burst. Do you know how the rules will work? i.e. can you swap some of the outbound slots for inbound ones?

Based on the frequency of being told by pilots that they can only accept minimum holding(ie 2 maybe 3 at a stretch) before they hit min fuel/divert/declare fuel emg I can see alot of overworked pilots/atc in the very near future trying to sort out landing/divert times and who can fit them on the ground.

They have this amazing thing at real airports called slot times.

Now imagine if the Slot Time Fairy were to bless our FIR with this amazing concept, removing half of the chaos that unfolds here on a daily basis.

The other half of the chaos will need a fresh piece of paper with no airpace, airways or procedures on it and a group of controllers (and a gaggle of pilots!) from each unit to start fresh on how things need to be done here to alleviate the draconian way we are doing business at the moment.

Rhubarb..mumble ...grizzle...

What? You don't enjoy a little chaos?

I prefer the time-honoured and tested method at busy times:

-Just call up and take 6 exchanges of information to get your airways clearance.

-Interrupt someone else's clearance delivery by "stepping" on someone else (or two) in the process.

-Clue in and change yourself over to 118.85 for a push, only to be told to go back to 118.35 so you can be told to switch to 118.85.

-Get your p/b and then take another 90 seconds doing the scan and checklist.

No idea how it is supposed to work exactly. We haven't received our briefing/lecture on the new phase yet. Needless to say the implementation of the new phase has been delayed. We all wait and wonder.

Angry well?????

So, with 15 landers per hour, what kind of spacing are we going to have to have thru DESDI and BUBIN??

Remember, that's 15 PER HOUR!!!!

At present, it seems to vary between 10 and 30 miles, depending on the time of day, day of week, month of year etc.
