NAS aviation in Saudi Arabia

Hi, does anyone have details about this company for the A319 ops? Having an interview this month.
The search on this topic brings up a few posts but nothing really clear and solid.

I have details about salary and rosters etc. but is the salary on time, how´s life in KSA? What are your experiences? Anything will help and is appreciated!

pm me if you like.

Cheers A321driver

NAS obtained their FAR/PCA 121 certificate a couple of weeks ago and have commenced operational services between Riyadh and Jeddah, check www.al-khayala.com

As for terms and conditions, whats your nationality?? Not sure about flight crew, but for ground crew the salary/benefit package is based not on qualifications but your passport

Thanks Mutt. Any info on tickets home after your roster (economy, business), are they reliable with the payments (salary on time), what about the lifestyle in Saudi Arabia.
What about the flight crew and cabin crew, how are they to work with? Many expats? What is your experience with the company?

C´mon guys, there must be some info on that. Please share

Thanks for that!

To contact NAS

Go to www.nasaviation.com for email addys.
I believe its as simple as : [email protected]

Send me a pm and I will give you a contact.

Just to answer some questions:
Any info on tickets home after your roster (economy, business):

NAS Sends you home on economy class tickets. They wait till the last moment sometimes because they are not sure where you will end up.

are they reliable with the payments (salary on time):
Your salary and per diems are paid on time. Expenses may take a bit...but no ones perfect.

what about the lifestyle in Saudi Arabia.
For the western male it is ok. Different but ok. While in Jeddah you stay at a hotel which has a crew room you share with the Jeddah base operation NJME. In Riyadh you stay at another hotel which is ok. Youcan go to the malls, you can go to restaurants, you can even go swimming at the Red Sea on a western beah that costs you 100 SR to and from the hotel. The Saudis are pretty friendly...you have your jerks but most of the locals like the xpats. Stay low key though...don\'t wear shorts or tang tops.

What about the flight crew and cabin crew, how are they to work with?
The flight crew in all operations are very nice. The Saudi pilots are all friendly but they have a different frame of mind while at work as it concerns the expats. They seldom help the F/A\'s as well. Other nationalities includes: French, British, American, Australian, German, and Canadian.

The F/A\'s throughout NAS are very friendly. Mostly British and Australian. Most come from Emirates or Gulf Air. Some South African girls as well. They also hired a US girl too recently for their NJME division.

Many expats? Mostly expats...

What is your experience with the company? I am a F/A with NAS.

spilotsgal,

You are talking about NAS, how does that differ from the A319 portion of the company, AL-KHAYALIA?

Are the days off the same?

Mutt.

The A319 portion of the company, AL-KHAYALIA, NJME all fall under NAS (National Air Service). I have met the pilots and F/A from all three subdivisions. And my above statements are about all subdivisions.

The A319 portion of the company and AL-KHAYALIA portions also have a 35 on 31 off rotation as well. Also if you do a search on AL-KHAYALIA you will see what I have written about that portion from what I know. I will say though that one big difference from NJME and A319 is that theper diems are 100$ a day with NJME and $50 with A319.

Let me say that until they gat better organized at NAS there will be many problems. One girl has quit already becasue they took away all rotations for the pilots and F/A;s until further notice.
