Class 1 Initial

A friend of mine is about to have his Initial Class one at LGW.
He has smoked dope recently and genuinely worries whether they'll pick it up or not.
Does anyone know what they are looking for on the Initial check???
What if they find a trace?

Marijuana leaves traces in your hair as it grows and police use hair samples to go back and see how many days ago you smoked it, but no hair samples are done at Gatwick. They do take blood samples but these wouldn't show I don't think.

However, illegal drugs are not condusive with the flying of passengers and I would certainly not want to be on a flight with him.
