Colostomy

Anyone got any experience of flying as a commercial pilot with a colostomy ? Or know of someone ?

No personal experience Mark, I suspect that the underlying reason would be of interest to the AME??

I doubt that a colostomy alone would raise more than an eyebrow.

Don't have an answer, but I wonder how those bags would react to pressure differences? A decompression could make a big mess.

Good point. But there's plenty of room for the flatus to go.

Most are vented with a charcoal filter, and the stoma's allow gas flow in either direction, probably resulting in less of an issue than you having a couple of beers and a Sangam special the night before:)
