Class 1 Minimum age...
 

Just a quick question, does anyone know the minimum age as to which a Class 1 can be issued? I can't find any info regarding this question on the CAA website.

Obviously, I am aware that 18 is the minimum age for CPL issue etc, but i was just wondering if it is the same for Class 1 medical issue, or if this can be done beforehand.

Minimum age for class 1 medical is 17. I would advise to get it as soon as you turn 17 to see if you can pursue your career. You have to do the initial down at gatwick.

Hopefully it wont be too much of a problem, already got a class 2, and my AME said i shouldn't have any problems. Fingers crossed...TIGHTLY! :D

Generally, how long in advance would you have to book (preferably for a Saturday slot)?

I would say a month to two before to be on the safe side
