Osteonecrosis
 

Hi All,

Slightly alarmed at being diagnosed with this, especially when I am in none of the "people who normally get this are..." categories!

Don't take steroids
Don't have Lupus
Don't have the bends
Drink moderately...3/4 days alcohol free each week

Had X Rays and saw them...have MRI scheduled then Ortho Surgeon after that. Doc spoke about "depressurizing by drilling a hole in the hip?"

Anyone any advice?

Thank you for the influx of replies...which is maybe just as well...Just had the doc on the phone stating that blood tests for Hemacromatosis is negative and the radiologist now says it is a fracture!!?? Well I did come off a snowmobile in January and landed on my right hip! But canI walk on on a fracture for so long???

Now, does anyone have any advice? What happens next?
