Can you have asthma and hold an air crew licence?

If your asthma is well controlled I shouldn't think you'd have any problems.

I take preventer medication every day and didn't have a drama. You might just have to see a specialist and get a report for the authorities.

I think they just want to know that you're not going to suddenly collapse at the controls!!

I recently passed my JAR Class 2 medical. I have mild Asthma which requires preventative medication on a daily basis and the ocassional use of a reliever.

My AME was confident that I would pass a Class 1 medical without any problems.
