Initial Class 1 & GP Notes

Hi all,

Booked an initial class 1 medical for a few days. Based overseas and have been for a few years, but trying to fit in while I'm in the UK on a visit. The examiners say to bring GP/medical notes etc.

Had a quick trawl on here and a few suggestions not to bother in any case as it can cause unwanted complications.

What's the latest consensus? Is it okay to show up without them? My records will be incomplete anyway as lived all over the place.

Obviously I will declare everything on the form (mild asthma as a child 20+ years ago...sounds like could be a hassle).

Thanks

I'd say it's a good idea because if the AME needs any further info on any conditions/medical history, it'll be right there in your notes. If they don't have the information they have to make a decision, they'll either withold your medical until you can provide the information or if that's not available, you'll be referred to a specialist who will be able to provide a report. This will probably be through a private doctor so will cost you...

GP's may need a bit of time to compile your records, so ask as soon as you can!
