FAA Holder Vs EASA Initial or Revalidation

Hi
Can anyone confirm:

If you currently hold an FAA Medical Certificate, and you then apply for an EASA Medical Certificate and you never held one before, are you considered as an initial applicant or renewal/revalidation?

If yes does it have to be the same class ie a 1st Class for a 1st Class etc.

I know in the past with JAA this was the case, and I thought this arrangement was now gone but another poster stated it still exists, can anyone clarify?

Its an initial , your FAA has nothing to do with it
