common cold viruses and secondary infections
I made the sweeping statement to a friend that viruses don't linger but leave one open to a bacteriological infection which make them think the cold is still there.
I also suggested there may be a slew of colds around and you only get protection from the one you've built up immunity to. Not taking into account more serious viruses, but just the common cold, is it true our immune systems usually succeed in 'killing' the virus pretty quickly? People who open-mouth cough for days after a cold is something that makes my blood boil. But that's another subject. |
The Queen had her's for 6 weeks.
Hope HM made an uneventful recovery. But in a way, it did cut down my antibiotic prescribing rates :') |
