EASA Medical Expiry

Apologies about putting this on. I am sure it has been covered but I have tried all sorts of searches and cannot find it.

My Easa Class 2 expires on 16/02/15 (last examination 24/01/14) and my audiogram on 14/02/15. ECG not a problem as it expires on 24/01/16.

I will be out of the area of any EASA AMEs in mid Feb 2015. Two questions:

How far in advance of the expiry can I renew the medical and audiogram?

If I do not renew them before mid Feb, Is it a normal medical examination when I get back to EASA Land and by when do I have to do them?

Thanks

You can presumably renew whenever you like. The medical will just run for 12 months from the new renewal date. I suspect you are asking how soon before you can renew and keep the same renewal date?

I hope you can find the information you seek in the tables below.

You can go in up to 45 days prior and still keep your current expiring date as the start of your next medical.

If you do it before the 45 days the period starts from the day you did the medical.

There isn't a big problem if you do it early.
