In-flight defibrillation
I've had a few emails from mate who is a member of an emergency care forum. They currently have a thread concerning the safety & rules of in-flight defibrillation (particularly in helis).
There are a lot of varying views but only from us medical types. Thought I'd pose the question here to get the views of those in the front seat. Any thoughts? |
Sorry, don't know much about the problem, most of my patient's are alive ! (I think).
What I do remember from my day's in A+E is that the ambulance had to stop and pull over prior to the "shock," so as to prevent danger to the driver. But isn't driving a littlle more dangerous than flying ! |
