In-flight defibrillation

I've had a few emails from mate who is a member of an emergency care forum. They currently have a thread concerning the safety & rules of in-flight defibrillation (particularly in helis).

There are a lot of varying views but only from us medical types. Thought I'd pose the question here to get the views of those in the front seat. Any thoughts?

Sorry, don't know much about the problem, most of my patient's are alive ! (I think).
What I do remember from my day's in A+E is that the ambulance had to stop and pull over prior to the "shock," so as to prevent danger to the driver.
But isn't driving a littlle more dangerous than flying !
