B-Peth

What does a result of

B-Peth 16:0/18:1 0.04 umol/l
B-Peth-total 0.10 umol/l

Just had a medical and they took a load of blood and I can make sense of most of the other stuff but a bit stumped at this one I know its something to do with booze but can't find what a normal reading is for it.

There aint so much as a normal reading. B-PEth is a very accurate measure of the blood/alcohol level. It is not the same as measuring the level of enzymes used to metabolise ethanol, which could give an indication of how hard you have been hitting it.

Hope this helps.
