Medical History and Class 1 Medical Q
Hi guys,
I am new here and am just looking for a bit of information regarding what sort of things would cause you to fail a Class 1 medical exam. Basically, like most people here I would like to become a pilot, however 11 years ago I was involved in an RTA and as a result had to have some facial reconstruction done around my left eye and my nose. My vision has not been impaired by the surgery and I have never had any problems as a result. Would this be reason enough to fail the exam? Secondly, 4 years ago I returned from Kazakhstan with a fever and ended up having a funny turn whereby I had a little trouble with balance (vertigo) among a couple other "neurological" problems. I had an MRI and consultations with 2 Neurologists and an Infectious Diseases specialist, and none could give any sort of diagnosis. The symptoms have resolved but would this history be cause for a failure? Many thanks for your time in reading this. Cheers, Paul. |
