Right ventrical hypertrophy

Anybody have it? How does it affect a medical?

will not cause a problem if: does not show up on ekg/ does not cause a abnormal physical finding.

What if it shows up on a ECG, what kind of problems are we talking about?

Resting and exercise electrocardiogram are the starting point. Have it analysed by your AME and take it from there. If it shows a problem, the next stage will be a Transthoracic Echocardiogram and a chest X ray to look at size shape and structure of the heart. All these are totally painless and easy to do. Any further investigation will depend on results of the above testing.

Good luck

imho ame would send exam and ekg, issuing certificate or deferring. Either way FAA will respond with a request for more testing. Only then would i send only what they ask for.
